This is a new shirt I finished last Sunday. I've been having lots of fun sewing clothes for college this fall. =]

I thought I'd add some pictures of the latest Market Bag I made, and so here they are!
I caught my puppy Ranger in the background =]
There's a pocket on the outside and the inside.
I love tie handles! So nice and adjustable.
Complete with our custom "Three Baggy Ps - Elkhart Lake" label.
Also, an update for our July schedule: We will be at the market July 14th and July 21st, but the last week in July (the 28th) I will be in San Francisco! I will miss you all, but I am super excited for the trip.

Hey Everyone, here's pictures of the latest sewing project I have finished - a pleated skirt! I had so much fun creating this skirt with my mom, and what a wonderful thing that we can sew together! I'm ever so thankful for that, and am very happy with the results of our labor.

The first day of the Farmers Market went so well! We were very excited to see all of our fellow vendors, and all the local shoppers, again. Since I will be heading off to college this fall (Yay!), we will only be at the Farmer's Market on select days. For June the Saturdays we are going to attend are the 2nd, the 16th and the 23rd. I'll keep you posted about the dates in July - we don't have those set in stone yet. Below are some pictures of Jenny and I on our first day. It was such a blustery day we had to spend the last half hour holding onto our canopy so it wouldn't blow away!

I have become obsessed with hand-sewing felt projects lately! This is a felt checkbook cover, with a flannel embellishment on the front. I used a blanket stitch around the edge to finish it.

Close-ups on the applique/embroidery:

One of my more recent projects was made from this book - "One-Yard Wonders" by Rebecca Yaker and Patricia Hoskins. It has amazing ideas and designs, that you can make from just one yard of fabric.

The pattern I made is called "Child's Messenger Bag"... Pretty unoriginal, but I can't think of a better name at the moment, so there is it. =] Following are some pictures of the tote:

Sorry I don't have any step-by-step photos for this post. I actually did take them while I was making this tote, but sadly they were accidentally deleted. Hopefully I'll have better luck during my next project.

Felt Owl Pin

This is a little felt pin I made this week when I saw a picture of one, and decided I wanted to make it. I designed the pattern pieces myself, but it was very self-explanatory. I will be selling these at the Farmer's Market this summer in case anyone is interested. =)

Ruffle-top Purse

Life has been so busy for me lately, but this week I set a goal to make a new purse, and thankfully I was able to achieve that goal! The book that I got this pattern from was given to my Mom and I, by our friend Alicia Veldman, so thanks Miss Alicia, for instigating this endeavor!

Here is what I started with:

Which then became this:

Now both handles are finished:

And a side view:

The finished result:

I love how the bag turned out, even though I did make a few modifications to the pattern (hey, they don't call me the teenage designer for nothing! =). I added the pocket, made the ruffle a little larger, and used the bamboo handles instead of making my own, with matching fabric and rubber tubes, like the pattern called for. I also made the side openings a little bigger, so that it is easier to reach down into the purse. All-in-all, a very fun project!
